David and Luke Hovey are a father and son team with a passion for solving puzzles and overcoming challenges. Their attention to detail along with the pride they take in their work is what single them out. This attention to detail coupled with our immense knowledge base allows us to provide specific and effective solutions to your needs.

Connecticut Safe & Lock was established in 1960 by Keith Levine, an entrepreneur born in England.  Keith was trained by a prominent player in the industry known as Chubb Safe & Lock Company of London before moving here to establish Connecticut Safe & Lock.  Mentored by Keith and his company, David had the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skill necessary to become a professional lock and safe technician. Shortly after Keith’s retirement David acquired the business and changed the name to Connecticut Lock & Safe.  Now in his third decade as owner, he specializes in safe and vault services.  Throughout the 41 years David has spent in the field, safe and vault openings have been his passion, from simple record safes to complex bank vault openings.

              Luke waded into the waters of the safe and vault industry on summer ride-alongs beginning in middle school. After high school he provided extra muscle on large moving and rigging jobs. In the latter half of 2017 his full time apprenticeship began. Every day since has been more knowledge to retain on top of new challenges to overcome.
